Exodus 7:2

2 So once more the people complained against Moses. “Give us water to drink!” they demanded.

“Quiet!” Moses replied. “Why are you complaining against me? And why are you testing the Lord?”

Everyday the world tries our patience, stretches our kindness to the limits, and hits that stress button.  Everything from being stuck in traffic to dealing with lay-offs, illnesses, and you-name-it test us everyday.  What do most of us do?  We complain.  We complain when we are ill or when one of our loved ones is ill. We complain about not having enough time in the day to spend with family and friends.  What should we be doing?  Praying.  Praying?  Yup, praying.

The Lord is there to hear our prayers and help us through all the trials that life and He puts us through.  He is there to give us the strength to make it through another day.  He blesses us with the ability to talk to Him when we are feeling overwhelmed.

Instead of complaining, taking time out to pray allows us to slow down, and calm ourselves.  It makes us relax, and take time to put our thoughts together.  This helps us relieve stress, and handle situations better; so, next time you want to complain, pray!

Until Next Time, God Bless.
