Building a Home

.…God is in our hearts.

Yep, the picture is what you think, an interpretation of footprints.  I figured it was appropriate. I am talking about God being within us.

John 14:23 Jesus replied: “Anyone who loves me wil keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him, and make a home in him.”

This holds all sorts of meaning for me.  First, love, loving Jesus.  There are many ways to love Jesus.  Following Christ’s teachings is the main way.  When you follow His teachings, you are telling him that you trust Jesus enough to love Him and give Him the full measure of your devotion.

Give and you shall receive.   As you walk the path of the loving Christian, loving Jesus, showing kindness, and proving to Christ that your love is real, you will receive something infinitely more precious than any amount of money, precious metal, or gems, the love of the Father.  It is an all-encompassing love, eternal, forgiving, and awe-inspiring love.  You will feel, with this love that there is nothing you cannot do, and you would be right.

You will not have to seek them out, Christ, and the Holy Father.  They will come to you and, in your heart and soul make a home in you for as long you love them both.  Think about that.  You won’t have to go searching endless miles, meditating for countless days, or fasting to know Them better.  Just love Jesus and the Father as you have been instructed, and they will come to you.  Wow.  Just, wow.

Until next time, God Bless.
